Overview
When it comes to effective psychotherapy, there is no substitute for clinical experience and practical application. Dr. Schnarch's new book, Intimacy & Desire, has already received wide acclaim and we've received many requests for a clinical training workshop. This practice-oriented four day program focuses on clinical application of the Crucible Approach to sexual desire problems, including mind-mapping and neuroplastic training. The workshop format will be highly interactive and participatory. We strongly suggest you read Intimacy & Desire in advance to get the most out of it.

This workshop will be co-presented by Drs. David Schnarch and Ruth Morehouse, who have conducted great training workshops together for over a decade. Professionals who attend their programs say these are among the best they've ever attended. Group size will be limited, so register early to insure a space for yourself. Don't miss out of on this exciting program.

Workshop Description
Therapists report sexual desire problems are one of couples' most difficult issues. Effective treatment starts with a great treatment approach like Crucible NeuroBiological Therapy™ and skill and experience applying it. Neurobiologists have studied mind-mapping for two decades, but application in therapy is new. Interpersonal neurobiology and mindfulness are hot topics these days, but practical neuroplastic training applications making full use of the inter-connection of mind, brain, body and relationship are rare.

This program gives you a tool chest of time-proven clinical interventions that enhance differentiation and resolve relationship problems. Body-oriented prescriptions create somatosensory “moments of meeting,” enhance self-regulation and harness neuroplastic training. These aren’t simple “homework assignments.” Knowing when and how to apply and debrief them is critical.

Learn how to use these tools for greatest impact, Bring brain-change technology to your therapy. This workshop will have special focus on sexual desire problems, but what you will learn is applicable to a broad range of problems. It will be case oriented, emphasizing applied practical skills and “how to” focus. You are invited to write-up a case involving sexual desire problems for possible inclusion. (Describe the case and tell us where you’re stuck, no more than 2 pages, please.) Even if your case is not specifically selected, your submission will shape the issues covered in the workshop.

This workshop is offered at the intermediate level of postgraduate training.
