Presented by
Drs. David Schnarch, Ph.D. and Ruth Morehouse, Ph.D.
Co-Directors, Crucible Institute

Thirty years ago we initially released Crucible Therapy. It was the first ground-up approach to problems of sexuality and intimacy that differed from the work of Masters and Johnson and Helen Singer-Kaplan. It also challenged how conventional marriage and family therapy approached relationship problems. Based on an entirely different set of assumptions and methods rooted in human differentiation, Crucible Therapy quickly attracted the attention of therapists around the world.

Over the last three decades, we've conducted clinical workshops for thousands of therapists in America and Europe. In the process we've learned how best to teach this material, including live clinical demonstration, case applications, and opportunities for participants to interact and ask questions.

So this year, we've put together a special Workshop Series that offers you unique opportunities to learn in a small-group workshop experience, and allows us to record and document our approach.

Don't miss these special three-day workshops conducted in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado. Each one focuses on a unique application. Click each link for more information:

Small workshop format
Typically, our clinical workshops are held in major metropolitan cities and attract more than a hundred participants.
  • Enrollment for these special programs will be strictly limited to create a small group learning experience with more opportunities for interacting with Drs. Schnarch and Morehouse.
  • These workshops will be recorded for teaching and training purposes. Workshop attendees agree to be recorded during their participation in the workshop.
Who are these workshops for?

These workshops are for therapists who want to completely change how they understand and deal with couple's most common difficulties. Open to professionals in the mental health field (psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, professional mental health counselors, marital therapists, and other counselors), and graduate students in these mental health fields.  (Adult couples and singles are welcome to attend on space-available basis.)

These workshops are offered at the intermediate level of postgraduate training.

Live demonstration of Crucible Therapy

Watch an exciting unrehearsed therapy session conducted by Dr. David Schnarch. Compare the responses you'd make with those of a master therapist. In the debriefing that follows, you'll have opportunities to ask questions and discuss your observations with the instructors.

Location

Join us for one workshop or the entire series in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado. Although Evergreen is just 35 miles from downtown Denver, it is a world apart in ambiance and easy access to the wonderful Colorado Rockies. Walk around Evergreen Lake, stroll through our art galleries, listen to music at the famous Little Bear Saloon, or hike our verdant nature trails. The Bears Inn and Highland Haven are ideal places to book lodging within a few minutes from our workshop location. Contact us for additional hotel sites.
