For the last several years, our "transitional" trainings on "Mind Mapping-Based Therapy" have been showing therapists how to integrate the brain science of mind mapping into dealing with common marital and family problems. This year our training shifts another step, towards teaching the heart and soul of Crucible Neurobiological Therapy. Whereas traditional Crucible Therapy focused on treating behavior-based relationship problems in a differentiation framework, Crucible Neurobiological Therapy is a brain-based treatment for interpersonal trauma.
What is an interpersonal neurobiological problem? This workshop lays out the spectrum of interpersonal neurobiological problems caused by subtle interpersonal trauma, existing outside the behavior-based DSM and ICDM frameworks. Diagnostic methods are also covered.
Methods-Based Focus: This new training focuses on interventions and methods specific to Crucible Neurobiological Therapy, including a range of modalities not previously covered in any of our workshops. It is loaded with practical examples from Dr. Schnarch's own practice, including recordings of actual treatment sessions and additional materials produced by clients. Learn how to effectively treat interpersonal neurobiological problems.
Empirical measurement: Bring empiricism to your clinical work and differentiate your practice from those of most therapists. Learn how to conduct in-session real-time physiological monitoring of clients and therapist to facilitate treatment and demonstrate your effectiveness. This program offers hands-on familiarization with the necessary technology.
Six-Day Format: Would you like a complete immersion experience into brain-based treatment of interpersonal trauma? To enhance training in our brain-based approach, we are returning to the six day Intensive Training format we originally used to teach behavior-based Crucible Therapy in the 1980s and 90s. This longer immersion experience facilitates several goals: It permits deeper learning of specific advanced clinical methodologies that facilitate application in practice.
We're also using the 6-day program to expedite dissemination of this new therapy and emergence of therapists trained in this approach. We will offer an additional 6-day Intensive Training (#2) in 2018, covering a second set of clinical methods (focusing on advanced ways of treating emotional regressions). These two trainings provide thorough exposure to the practical methods of Crucible Neurobiological Therapy.
Please note all times are approximate. Because we are focusing on practical learning, case deconstruction, and participant involvement, everyone benefits from the freedom to pay more attention to some aspects more than others. This may alter the time devoted to each topic.

Marriage u0026amp; Family Health Center (MFHC) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5870. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. MFHC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. This workshop earns 39 NBCC Clock Hours.
MFHC is also an approved provider of the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners (TEXAS SW), and this workshop earns: Six Day Workshop 39 CE Credits.
